ARGONAUT Workshops. Measuring what matters: AI and Transparency in bio-based products

Measuring what matters AI & transparency in bio-based products

The ARGONAUT project is organising the first round of Workshops under the title “Measuring what matters: AI & Transparency in Bio-Based Products”, for the first-ever public demonstration of JASON, our AI-powered environmental impact assessment tool.

The two online events will bring together SME producers, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and civil society to explore how artificial intelligence and transparency are reshaping the way we assess the environmental footprint of bio-based products. If you work in the bio-based sector, sustainability, or circular economy policy, you won’t want to miss it.

Two Workshops, Two Value Chain Perspectives

ARGONAUT focuses on six bio-based value chains across Italy and Lithuania, covering all stages from raw biomass to end-of-life. Each workshop zooms in on one of these two national contexts, offering stakeholders an in-depth look at how AI-driven life cycle assessment (LCA) can be applied to real-world production systems.

Workshop 1 — Bio-based Industrial Applications (Italian Use Cases)

This session will present the Italian bio-based value chains examined within the ARGONAUT project, followed by a live demonstration of the JASON tool. It will highlight how AI-driven LCA can evaluate the environmental footprint of products derived from agricultural and agri-food by-products, supporting more transparent and sustainable production practices

Date  & Time:  28 April 2026, 14:00–15:30 CET

Workshop 2 — Agri-food Based Bio-Products (Lithuanian Use Cases)

The second session turns to the Lithuanian use cases, again featuring a demonstration of the JASON tool and a discussion of how the project’s AI-powered approach can support SME producers and policymakers in making more informed, sustainable decisions across agri-food bio-product value chains.

Date & Time: 29 April 2026, 12:00–13:30 CET
