(JASON) offers a cutting-edge AI-powered digital tool that provides detailed environmental impact assessment for bio-based product value chains. By harnessing the power of AI and utilising international scientific and grey literature, JASON accurately calculates environmental impacts across various stages of product life cycles, enabling optimised decision-making for sustainable production.
The Digital Bio-product Passport (DBP) provides a certified digital identity for bio-based products, enhancing transparency, sustainability, and circularity throughout their lifecycle. By documenting environmental impacts throughout the product lifecycle and ensuring data integrity via blockchain technology, DBP empowers stakeholders to make informed decisions aligned with circular economy principles, fostering more sustainable production and consumption patterns.
BGMs aim to support the deployment and scaling of JASON (Joint Analytical System for Optimisation of environmental impact assessmeNt) and DBPs (Digital Bio-based Product Passports). By fostering inclusivity, these models empower stakeholders to utilise JASON for environmental impact assessment, facilitating informed decision-making and contributing to future policy design in the bio-based products sector.
A comprehensive set of policy briefs and a policy toolkit aimed at influencing bio-product policies and providing policymakers with actionable guidelines and best practices for promoting climate-friendly bio-based products. This initiative will facilitate informed decision-making and policy formulation to drive sustainability and circularity in the bioeconomy.
A showcasing library, hosted on the project website, that highlights the eco-conscious and eco-friendly nature of the products and practices deployed, while showing the digital passports assigned/deployed.
Full conventional LCAs of six established bio-based product value chains (use cases) covering the environmental and climate impact at each stage of the value chain. Analyses will be used to validate and enhance the quality and accuracy of the AI tool (JASON).
A data space that enables edge, on-premise and cloud-based systems to share data in a structured way, while allowing semantic flexibility with respect to different data models used and facilitating technical interoperability.
The campaign will increase stakeholders awareness about the benefits of ARGONAUT outcomes. It will include the implementation of various training workshops and webinars, implemented during the project’s lifespan.
