Biopolymers by Vegea specialises in the production and commercialization of technical coated fabrics and biomaterials for various industries including fashion, furniture, packaging, and automotive. At the heart of their offerings is a partially bio-based polyurethane derived from grape marc, a byproduct of winemaking. This innovative material serves as a sustainable alternative to traditional leather and is particularly favoured in the fashion industry for its cruelty-free and eco-friendly properties, being commonly referred to as vegan leather. This value chain covers: the sourcing of raw materials, polyurethane production and manufacturing of final products, logistics and distribution.
